Dhaka Stock Exchange:
As on 30th June, 2000 there were 239 listed securities with Dhaka Stock Exchange. The listed securities comprised shares of 219 companies, 10 mutual funds and 10 debentures. 

During FY 1999-2000, 11 securities got listed with DSE. Issued capital of the newly listed 11 securities  was Tk.2,046.50 million (US$ 39.74 million). During FY 1998-99, 6 securities were listed with a total issued capital of Tk.706.68 million (US$ 14.57 million).

As on 30th June, 2000 the total number of tradable securities in DSE was 685.69 million with total issued capital of Tk.30,517 million (US$ 593 million) as against 533.54 million tradable securities with  total issued capital of Tk.28,684 million (US$ 591.42 million) as on 30th  June 1999. During FY 1999-2000 the number of tradable securities was increased by 25.52% and total issued capital increased by 6.39%.

Total market capitalization of all listed securities in DSE amounted to Tk.54,004 million (US$ 1049 million) as on 30th June, 2000 compared to Tk.50,748.41 million (US$ 1,046.35 million) as on 30th June, 1999 showing an increase in market capitalization of 6.42%. 

All Share Price Index of DSE as on 30th June, 2000 was 561.00 which was 546.79 on 30th June, 1999.

Chittagong Stock Exchange:

There were 163 securities listed with  CSE constituted by 149 companies, 10 mutual funds and 4 debentures. Total issued capital of CSE as on 30th June 2000 was Tk.26,654.62 million (US$ 517.57 million).
Total market capitalization of all listed securities in the CSE amounted to Tk.44,840 million (US$ 870.68 million) as on 30th June 2000 compared to Tk.40,950  million (US$ 844.33 million) as on 30th June 1999 showing an increase in market capitalization of 9.50%. 
The CSE All Securities Price Index as on  30th June 2000 was 1173.89 ** which  was 223.65 as on  30th June 1999.
