As on 30th June, 2001 there were 244 listed securities in Dhaka Stock Exchange. The listed securities comprised of shares of 224 companies, 10 mutual funds, and 10 debentures. 

During FY 2000-2001, 6 securities got listed with DSE. Issued capital of the newly listed  securities  was Tk.942.00 million (US$ 16.53 million). During FY 1999-2000, 11 securities were listed with a total issued capital of Tk.2046.50 million (US$ 39.74 million).

As on 30th June, 2001 the total number of tradable securities in DSE was 739.46 million with total issued capital of Tk.32,227 million (US$ 565 million) as against 685.69 million tradable securities with  total issued capital of Tk.30,517 million (US$ 593 million) as on 30th  June 2000. During FY 2000-2001 the number of tradable securities was increased by 7.84% and total issued capital increased by 5.60%.

Total market capitalization of all listed securities in DSE amounted to Tk.72,168 million (US$ 1266 million) as on 30th June, 2001 compared to Tk.54,004 million (US$ 1,049 million) as on 30th June, 2000 showing an increase in market capitalization of 33.63%. 

All Share Price Index of DSE as on 30th June, 2001 was 716.06 which was 561.00 on 30th June, 2000.

Chittagong Stock Exchange:

There were 171 securities listed with  CSE constituted by 157 companies, 10 mutual funds and 4 debentures. Total issued capital of listed securities in the CSE as on 30th June 2001 was Tk.27,350 million (US$ 480 million).
Total market capitalization of all listed securities in the CSE amounted to Tk.62,820 million (US$ 1102.12 million) as on 30th June 2001 compared to Tk.44,840  million (US$ 870.68 million) as on 30th June 2000 showing an increase in market capitalization of 40.10%. 

The CSE All Securities Price Index as on 30th June 2001 was 1502.39 which  was 1173.89 on  30th June 2000.
